The Pillowman won writer Martin McDonagh wide acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, winning both an Olivier and a Tony Award. A macabre horror with hints of brilliantly twisted humour, The Pillowman is the tale of a writer in a nameless, totalitarian state who has been arrested by the police. They seem very interested in his writing... where does his inspiration come from? Is he responsible for his ideas or do they have a life of their own?
Marc Warren will lead the company as Katurian. His previous work includes Wanted, Mutual Friends and Hustle.

The larger space has 750 fixed seats. The Studio provides a smaller more versatile space. When the 32 tonne steel walls separating the stage and the foyer are lifted, the stage is visible from street level.
The glass facade encloses an open plan, circular foyer with bars, cafes and views of the backstage area.

A number of performances are captioned to provide people with hearing loss access to the live performance. The words appear on two display screens at the same time as they are spoken. Special seating is provided and customers should enquire about these when booking tickets.British Sign Language Interpreted
Some performances and events are Sign Language interpreted.Car Parking:There is an NCP car park situated next to Curve. You can book in advance for a performance at Curve and add a car parking voucher for the NCP car park at the special price of £3.50. Ticket Prices:Ticket prices vary from show to show ranging from £1 to £29.
Concession Information:Special pricing and seating is available for customers on audio described, Sign Language interpreted and captioned performances.
Special Price are also available for Under 18’s, Under 18 School Group, 18-26 Year Olds, Full-Time Students, Registered Unemployed, Groups 15+, and Essential Carers.
Assistance Dogs:Guide, hearing and other working dogs are welcomed. Please ask about a dog space when booking your ticket.
Hearing Assistance:An infra red hearing system in both the Auditorium and Studio is available. A headset for use with or without a hearing aid can increase the volume of the performance. Headsets are available from the cloakroom and are bookable in advance via the ticket office.
