What is Integrated Theatre?

Our definition of integrated shows are those which are created with Blind or Deaf people.

Many of these productions are created in British Sign language as well as English and can be understood by everyone while retaining British Sign Language as the leading language.

Others fully integrate audio description into the production, often employing integrated casts of sighted and blind or partially sighted actors.

We will be telling you about these shows when they come to our notice, so please let us know if you are involved in projects which are aimed at developing integrated theatre.
